Ingredients

Adjust Servings:
1/4 cup vegetable oil
500 g chicken breast
1 tsp salt
1 chopped onion
2 cloves minced garlic
5 dried chilis chilis optional
1 tsp minced ginger
1 Tbsp tomato paste
1 tsp curry powder
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp ground coriander
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp garam masala
250 ml tomato purée
150 ml plain yogurt
75 ml water
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp white pepper
1 tsp sugar
2 Tbsp fresh chopped cilantro
1/4 fresh lemon

Indian Chicken Curry

do you love spicy food? if the answer is yes, so this common dish from India is perfect for you. It’s very tasty and have a great fragrance. The chilis make it much more authentic. But if you are not the one of spicy food lover, don’t worry then just make it without chilis and cayenne pepper. The first time i ate this dish, every bite was like a big party in my mouth. So don’t miss out and just give it a try with some yellow rice

Sprinkle the chicken breast both side with a teaspoon salt.
Heat the vegetable oil in a big skillet over high heat and put the chicken into it. Cook for about 3-5 minutes each side or until golden brown and set aside.

Reduce the heat and still using the same skillet, add the chopped onion and stir until the onion turns translucent.
Add minced garlic, chilis, ginger, tomato paste and stir for a couple minutes.
Add the curry powder, turmeric, ground coriander, cayenne pepper, cumin and garam masala. Stir for a minute.

Pour the tomato purée, yogurt, water.
Season with salt, pepper and sugar.
Put the chicken breast back to the skillet and cover it with the sauce then bring to a boil.

Reduce the heat and simmer for about 20-25 minutes or until the chicken breasts get tender.
Sprinkle with fresh chopped cilantro and lemon juice before serve.
