minutesAromatic white rice cooked with coconut milk and turmeric is very tasteful.
Ingredients
220 g white rice
1 clove garlic
2 shallot
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp turmeric
200 ml coconut milk
250 ml water
1 bay leaf
1 lime leaf
1 lemongrass
1 tsp butter
Steps
- garlic mixture: Crush the garlic, shallot, salt and ground turmeric with mortar and pestle or food processor.


- Heat the butter in a big pot over medium-high heat.
Add the washed white rice, coconut milk, water, lemon grass, dried bay leaf, lime leaf and the garlic mixture.
Bring to a boil.

- Reduce heat to low. Cover and cook for another 15 minutes or until rice is tender.
Set aside and covered for 5 minutes to steam.
Serve the yellow rice with any type of meat or chicken.
