Ingredients

  • 5 potatoes

  • 50 g melted butter

  • 1/4 tsp dried rosemary

  • 1 tsp garlic (garlic powder)

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

  • 1/4 tsp dried oregano

  • 1/4 tsp dried basil

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp pepper

  • 200 g sour cream

Steps

  • Preheat oven to 200°C. Insert a skewer lengthwise through the center of each potato. Cut it in a spiral pattern all the way down to the skewer. Stretch the potato down the skewer. Repeat with the other potatoes.
  • In a small bowl, mix together melted butter, rosemary, garlic powder, smoked paprika, oregano, basil, salt and pepper. Brush butter mixture onto all parts of the potato – outside and inside.

  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Turn the skewers every 15 minutes.
  • Serve the tornado potato with sour cream or any dip you like.
