5 egg
5 egg
200 g sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
a pinch of salt
250 ml advocaat
250 ml vegetable oil
100 g flour
150 g cornstarch
15 g baking powder
5 Tbsp advocaat
135 g powdered sugar
5 Tbsp advocaat
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 175°C.
Thoroughly grease a Bundt pan(diameter around 22-24cm) with oil and flour.
In a large mixing bowl, add the eggs, sugar, vanilla, a pinch of salt. Beat together at medium-high speed until the mixture lightens in color and looks fluffy. Scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl.

- Add the advocaat and vegetable oil, then beating gently to combine for about 30 to 40 seconds at medium speed.

- Sift the flour, cornstarch, and baking powder into the mixture and whisk until well combined and there are no lumps.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan.

- Bake the cake for 50 to 60 minutes, until it’s starting to brown, appears set on top and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. (Start checking at 30 minutes, if the cake appears to be browning too quickly, tent it with foil for the final 30 minutes of baking.)
Remove the cake from the oven, and gently loosen its edges using a heatproof spatula. Turn the pan over onto a cooling rack. After 10 minutes, lift the pan off the cake, and allow it to cool completely.

- Combine the powdered sugar together with 5 Tablespoon of advocaat. Once the cake cool completely, gently pour the glaze all over the top of the cake.
