a pinch of salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
65 g flour
65 g cornstarch
1 tsp baking powder
1 Tbsp powdered sugar

doesn’t require complicated ingredients, very simple and easy to make that don’t intimidate. If ever look through your pantry and fridge wondering what you could possibly make with what seems to be something sweet for tea time accompanied? Well, this recipe could help you out because maybe all that you need, you already have in the kitchen. This fluffy cake is just like Grandma use to make and will make your kitchen smells so good.

Heat oven to 160°C. Grease a 1lb(20cmx10cm) loaf tin with butter and flour.

In a large bowl, beat the egg whites with an electric mixer on medium-high speed until soft peaks form. Add a pinch of salt and continue beating until the whites are stiff; Set aside in the fridge.

In another large bowl, beat the egg yolks together with sugar and vanilla extract until pale creamy (for about 3 minutes).
Sift the flour, cornstarch, baking powder into the egg yolk mixture. Mix until well combined.

Add the egg white to the batter, using a spatula to fold in, just until evenly combined.
Pour and spread the batter evenly on the prepared tin.

Bake for 50-55 minutes in the preheated oven.
Once baked, let the cake cool completely onto a cooling rack.
Sprinkle with some powdered sugar as desired.
