Homemade Caramel sauce

Caramel is one of popular flavor in many dessert. This recipe will make you realize how easy to make your own caramel sauce.  It doesn’t take so much time and once you have it, preparing the breakfast or dessert be a lot easier than you might think. You can store it for up to 2 weeks in the fridge. If the caramel getting to thick, you can just warm up for a few second and put a little bit milk.

My little tips to make this sauce perfect:

all the ingredients must be prepared in front of you and once you start to cook, please always watch the sugar so it won’t burn.

In a sauce pan, Boil the sugar, salt and water over medium heat. Stir until the sugar have form clumps and eventually melt into a thick brown (amber-colored). Be careful not to burn.

Pour carefully the heavy cream (room temperature). Cook and let the sauce cook until thick.

Remove from the heat and directly add the unsalted butter into the saucepan. Mix it all together until the butter melting.
Cover the caramel sauce and let it cool down. You can serve it warm or cold.
