Directions
Apple Crumble Cake
is one of the classic dessert and very popular to make in this fall season. I am a fan of apples, but any apple desserts was not my favorite one and it was before i came to Germany. Many bakery in Germany sell many type of fruity and juicy luscious cakes. My Columbian best friend, who loves cakes so much also said that all the cake they sell in here is not really her taste. Sometimes my husband bought me cakes in a local bakery. This is how my crave of apple crumble cake was started. So, here I am sharing a German apple cake-recipe with crunchy crumble topping. All the sliced fresh apples tossed with cinnamon, sugar and it has a pudding layer between the apples and the cake. What a great taste you will have it in the first bite.

cake batterIn a large bowl, mix together butter at room temperature, sugar, salt, and vanilla extract for about 3-4 minutes until smooth and creamy. Add egg to the butter mixture, one at a time and beating rapidly. Add the flour and baking powder and mix until well-combined. |

Bake for 40-50 minutes. Baking times vary, so keep an eye on yours. If you find the top or edges of the cake are browning too quickly in the oven, then loosely cover it with aluminum foil |
