Ingredients

  • 250 g ground hazelnut

  • 500 g flour

  • 250 g unsalted butter

  • 250 g sugar

  • 2 egg

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 250 g dark chocolate

Steps

  • In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat butter and sugar on medium speed until light and creamy, for about 3 minutes Add egg and vanilla extract, beat to incorporate.

  • Reduce mixer speed to low, and gradually add flour, ground hazelnut, and baking powder. Mix until well-combined. Chill the dough for a minimum of 30 minutes to 2 hours before shaping.

  • Put the dough into the meat grinder with cookie attachment and insert the star shape. Preheat the oven to 180°C and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Form the cookies with desired shapes on prepared baking sheets. I let my cookies have straight shape. Bake until light golden brown around the edges, about 12 minutes. Let cool completely.
  • Melt the dark chocolate. Brush half cookies with the melted chocolate. Store the cookies in a tin box.
